This beautiful, Sterling Silver Tie Clip with wave detail was inspired by the ebb and flow of the tide, my love of the water and the restorative power it has.
The wave detail was hand carved in wax first, then cast in Sterling Silver to create this unique design. The ebb and flow of water is represented in the circular style of the charm, with the movement and ripples of the waves brought out by the textured details added to the initial carving and captured in wonderful detail during the casting.
It's purposefully tactile because I wanted one touch to take the wearer to that place and that very moment... where land meets sea, where my mind seeks solace and the waves soothe the soul.
This is a slim tie clip, measuring 50 x 4 mm. The wave detail has been soldered to it, in the centre so that it sits above the clip and will silhouette against the tie beautifully. The clip has a brushed finish. This is a lovely contrast against the wave that is polished, with some extra high shine detail on the edges of the charms ripples and reflects the light just as the water does!
The unique design of this piece is a thoughtful gift for anyone who's a water lover or coastal dreamer. A reminder that wherever you are, the restorative power of the tides ebb and flow can stay with you. A great gift for anyone with fond memories of Cornwall, something for them to hold close and remember those happy times! The timeless design means it's great to wear everyday, the perfect way to complement a tie! It would make a great gift for grooms on your wedding day but also provide a great opportunity to coordinate the whole wedding party as gifts for Best Men, Groomsmen and Fathers. Such a thoughtful gift for retirements, special birthdays, graduations or Christmas, a wonderful special keepsake that can be worn again and again and will never go out of style! The back of this clip can also be personalised with hand stamped initials to make it a truly personal, one of a kind gift.
This piece is part of the Ebb and Flow collection, with complementing designs available.
* Hand stamping is created by the blow of a hammer on steel letter and number punches. It’s not as precise as engraving and so irregularities and variations in the text are to be expected. Letters may not always be perfectly aligned and some letters may strike deeper than others. This is part of the charm of these designs and makes your jewellery uniquely yours.
