You, me and the sea...
The sea and it's power holds a special place within me. It's where I find solace and where I'm inspired.
Celebrating the sea, this necklace features a one of a kind, beautiful, rose cut, raw Sapphire. The Sapphire is a deep, mystical, navy blue reminiscent of the sea that surrounds Cornwall and holds so many secrets of times gone by. The stone is an irregular tear drop shape set in a Sterling Silver bezel style setting, measuring approximately 1.1 cm (11 mm) x 0.8 cm (8mm).
Two solid Sterling Silver hoops, created separately and moving indpendantly, but entwined together forever form the 'you and me' element of this design. A perfect representation of a special someone with whom you share an unbreakable bond. These hoops each measure aprox 2.2cm in diameter.
Both the hopps and the sapphire setting have been finished with a light texture and polished that reminds me of wet sand and the shimmer that reflects the sun rays.
The sapphire hangs freely in the middle of the hoops via a small ring that the chain also threads through. There's a lovely organic sense of movement within the different elements.
This pendant is presented on a belcher style chain, of either 16 or 18 inches.
This necklace has an understated, contemporary sophistication to it, perfect for a special occasion, or everyday luxury.
Raw sapphires have not been heat treated and as a result have beautiful variations in colour.
This necklace comes with a full hallmark and my own makers mark.
