This one of a kind, pear shaped, rose cut, raw Sapphire is absolutely beautiful! A stunning deep mystical navy blue, with waves of grey/blue. It reminded me of the sea that surrounds Cornwall at it's stormy best, crashing against the cliffs and all the secrets that it holds deep within!
A raw Sapphire has not been heat treated and as a result have beautiful variations in colour. The stone is a wide pear shape, set in a Sterling Silver chunky style bezel setting. It measures measuring approximately 1.8 cm (18 mm) x 1.9 cm (19mm).The bezel setting has an open back so that more of the beautiful stone can be seen and an added wave detail to bring us right back to those stormy seas. It is presented on a 2.5mm belcher style chain via a chunky style bail to complement the setting. The whole of the setting is textured very lightly with a hammered texture that gently catches the light just as water does.
It is hallmarked by London Assay office and carries my own makers mark.
