Inspired by the rediscovery of my own, well loved Russian wedding ring my jewellery box, I loved the symbolism and wanted to create something that could be symbolic for each wearer.
The cufflinks are made from Sterling Silver. The base is a disc, measuring 1.9cm (19mm) diameter. Attached to the lower right hand side of the disc are 2 small rings, measuring approx 4.5mm each, linked together. These rings are soldered to the base disc at an angle, so they are not flat against the surface to give interest and depth. The cufflinks are finished with a brushed texture and a traditional cufflink arm fastening.
The ring is symbolic of many things, with no end and no beginning, a connection that can't be broken. However, when you intertwine them such as this, it adds an additional element of symbolism.... Two joined as one, a love never ending, a friendship for always...
